Robots.txt: is a file to stop search engines going places where they shouldn't. In all accounts I add this to stop them going into places it shouldn't, if you know how to edit these, do it. if not leave it alone.

40x.shtml - these pages! :D

With this tool you can create custom error pages to display when a user enters a wrong URL, an outdated URL or when the user is not authorized to access a specific directory of your web space.

401.shtml --- (Authorization required - login via .htaccess/loginsystem failed.)
403.shtml --- (Forbidden - directory not allowed to be viewed)
404.shtml --- (Wrong page - file not found, which is the most common error page)
500.shtml --- (Internal server error - cgi/interactive media failure)

Please! Do NOT delete the files, change the filenames!

The .shtml means it's special type of file, but can be written just like a normal HTML page (For the nosy, it means this is a special file with serverside includes/additionals in it, treat it especially)

they are either "fowarding" or "pop3".

fowarding emails look like "anything@fraildream.net", and the mail gets bounced to an email of your own choice (like your favourite hotmail account, personal email) just a shiney fowarding address really.

Pop3 however is different :P

These accounts can be accessed via OutlookExpress/Eudora etc. Grabbed off the fraildream.net server that's being run here. Alternately if you're afraid of these programs you can access your 'pop3' account via details you get from the admin.

Note: not all accounts have mail accounts setup. Only on request, limited numbers - details on a public page are stupid.

This must be setup on your account by the admin. If you can't use FTP, you will access your account by this method.

The URL/Web address will be

http://www.fraildream.net/cgi-bin/your-username/pagetool.cgi

so if it was "lart" your webaddress would be "http://www.fraildream.net/cgi-bin/lart/pagetool.cgi"

Login : your-username (no @fraildream.net at the end)
Password : your-password

It's intuitive, and quite simple in it's usage. It can be set up as the sole access to your account, or in dual-combo with FTP access (for the away from home/ftp program times)

Caveat with dual editing (FTP/Script) : all files that are NOT made in the script, must be chmod'd "666" (-rw-rw-rw-) before you can edit any files uploaded via FTP with the script-tool.

Note: Not setup on all accounts.
